Do Free!

In the last place we lived, there was a zoo that to get in was technically free, but they did have places you could leave donations (the suggestion was that everybody leave $1.) Many communities – especially larger areas – have free events/activities/places.

Participating in these is a great way to spend time with family/friends without spending money. Even some place as simple as the local library can be a great resource. I hate to admit it, but I took my son to his first story time (hate to admit it because it’s the first time!) yesterday and he loved it. They had songs, stories and a craft. All Free (well it’s paid for by taxes… but we’re not going there today!)

Find what is free in your community and take advantage of it!
